Auto Detailing Service Agreement

INTRODUCTION: In this Service Agreement “Onsite Auto Detailing,” “we,” “us,” and “our” refer collectively to Onsite Auto Detailing, LLC. “You” and “your” refer to each “customer,” including each person “Agent” you designate, with full authority, to act on your behalf with respect to your vehicle. This Agreement explains our obligations to you and your obligations to us in relation to the auto detailing service(s) “job” you purchase. By using our service, you agree to the terms of this agreement, without modification by you. While someone other than the owner will pay for auto detailing services, WE WILL NOT PERFORM ANY SERVICE ON A VEHICLE WITHOUT THE OWNER’S CONSENT.

FEES: Since the condition of each vehicle varies, UNTIL THE JOB IS COMPLETE, THE TOTAL COST IS AN ESTIMATE. The actual cost for any detail service will be determined on the date of service and after the job is completed. If you have prepaid and the total cost is less, you will be refunded the difference. All services are charged 6.35% CT state sales tax.

PAYMENT DUE DATE AND METHODS: Payment is due on or before the date of service. We accept cash, checks, and major credit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express). Please write checks payable to Onsite Auto Detailing, LLC. A fee of $30.00 will be charged for a non-sufficient fund check returned by the bank to us. IF YOU OR YOUR AGENT WILL NOT BE PRESENT ON THE DATE OF THE DETAIL, WE REQUEST PREPAYMENT OF THE TOTAL COST. IF THE DETAIL SERVICE PERFORMED IS LESS THAN THE TOTAL COST ON THE ESTIMATE, YOU WILL BE REFUNDED THE DIFFERENCE.

CANCELLATIONS AND REFUNDS: You or Onsite Auto Detailing may cancel a job at any time for any reason. Other than for weather conditions, we require at least 24-hour’s notice from you to cancel a job. If you cancel with less than 24-hour’s notice, OR if we arrive during the scheduled day and time and are turned away for ANY reason, OR we cannot gain entrance to your vehicle for ANY reason, you will NOT receive a refund of any prepaid fees (including any deposit). We will wait for not more than 15 minutes from the beginning of a scheduled job, at which time the job becomes a cancellation by you. If you cancel with greater than 24-hour’s notice, you will receive a full refund of any prepaid fees, including your deposit, or you may reschedule the detailing service for a later date within two (2) months. If you cancel with less than 24-hour’s notice, you may reschedule the detailing service up to two (2) times within two (2) months from the originally scheduled date. Other than for weather conditions, we will arrive within 1 (one) hour of the scheduled begin time. All refunds are issued in the manner in which the original amount was paid, except for cash payments (e.g., if paid by credit card, the credit card will be credited). Cash payments that require refunding will be refunded to the original payor by check.

WEATHER CONDITIONS: Onsite Auto Detailing is a mobile service and performs its service out-of-doors. If weather conditions prevent us from doing the job, your appointment will be cancelled, and neither you nor Onsite Auto Detailing will not be held liable in anyway. If and when this occurs, we will reschedule or you may request a 100% refund.

DETERMINING THE COST OF YOUR AUTO DETAILING: Onsite Auto Detailing must see the vehicle before we can confirm with you the estimate for detailing services. We reserve the right to adjust any over-the-phone estimate after we have visually inspected the vehicle.

QUALITY OF SERVICE: Onsite Auto Detailing services help to recondition and restore your vehicle. No services offered are guaranteed to completely restore the vehicle to any previous or new condition. We will try our absolute best to restore the vehicle to the best condition possible and within the constraints of our resources, time, and expertise. We will conduct a final inspection together, with you, at the end of the job. If, after the final inspection, you find our service unsatisfactory, please contact us within 24 hours so we can address your concern. Onsite Auto Detailing will not be held liable for any concerns after 24 hours of job completion or if you did not complete the final inspection with us.

INSURANCE, ACCIDENTS, PREEXISTING CONDITION, AND DAMAGE: Onsite Auto Detailing is fully insured to cover every customer and vehicle, and to operate wherever you may need service. Notwithstanding negligence, we cannot be held responsible for damage to the vehicle while in our care. If something does get damaged while servicing your vehicle, we will advise you of the incident. We will check the condition of your vehicle for any existing damage at the time we prepare the estimate. Additional pre-existing damage may be noted as the vehicle is serviced. We will take pictures of your vehicle immediately before we begin the job. You agree not to hold Onsite Auto Detailing liable for pre-existing damage.

PREPARING YOUR VEHICLE: Prior to our arrival, please remove all items from the vehicle. Empty out the glove compartment and any storage compartments. Remove all cash, jewelry, and other valuables. If you do not want a particular area of your vehicle to be cleaned, let us know before we begin a job. We will package any personal items we find while servicing your vehicle into plastic bags and remove them from the vehicle. We will return the items to your vehicle once we’re finished. You agree to not hold us responsible for damage or loss to any item left inside or outside the vehicle.

WHAT WE WILL NOT DO: We do not clean engine or the engine compartment, pull out or remove any seats or equipment, or reinstall any child safety seat.

KEYS, OPERATING/MOVING YOUR VEHICLE: Please make sure the keys to the vehicle are available to us. You authorize us to operate or to move your vehicle, only if it is necessary to do so. This may include moving the vehicle so that it can be parked on a wash mat or turning on the heating system to warm or dry the interior of the vehicle so that we may perform our job properly.

PERMISSION TO ENTER PROPERTY: You give us permission to enter your property located at the address and during the time indicated on the service order, or as necessary, to detail your vehicle(s).

INFORMATION COLLECTION AND USE: We require the collection of certain information from you in order to respond to your inquiries, provide automotive appearance services, and to ensure that we can provide a quality and personalized service. When you inquire about our services via in-person, telephone, email, or through our website, the information we may collect includes your name, address, telephone numbers, email address, and the year, make, and model of vehicle. We require this information in order to respond to your inquiry. If you decide to purchase our services, in addition to the above information, we collect the vehicle registration and identification number. If you are not available when your vehicle is detailed, we collect the name of a person you authorize to act as your agent and his or her telephone number. The information we collect is not legally required, but is required in order to provide you with our services. If you choose not to provide this information, we may not be able to provide you with our services.

INFORMATION USE AND OPTING OUT: To make a decision to purchase a service from Onsite Auto Detailing we will send you a service order via email (preferred), attachment to an internet-based payment system, mail through the United States Postal Service (USPS), or provide it to you on the date of service before we begin the job. Once you decide to purchase a service, we will communicate with you via email, telephone, or USPS mail to provide the information and services you request and to manage your account. You may not opt-out of these transactional communications, which are not promotional in nature. We offer promotional communications. After making an inquiry about our services, before deciding to purchase a service, and after a purchase of our services we may send you promotional communications. You may also receive promotional materials via USPS mail. We may use your feedback about our services and take pictures of your vehicle for marketing purposes. No personal identification of the vehicle or its owner will be published. You may opt-out of promotional communications at any time.
